The Ultimate Taco Dinner

I love Taco Tuesdays. My Men get a great meal with not a lot of fuss on my part. And hardly any dishes. And most of all its fun.

You can fit a lot of nutrition in a taco. Another great thing to do with this mix is just wrap all ingredients in a lettuce leaf. These even make great appetizers if you cut the leaves small.

Vegetarian? No problem! Try this spice recipe with black beans instead.

Tip: I like to put my toppings on the table in pyrex glass containers so that if there is leftover just put the lid on and throw in the fridge.

  • 1 to 2 pounds of grass-fed beef

  • 4 to 5 TBS of cooked tomato sauce or veggie juice

  • 4 tsp of homemade Taco seasoning

The best Taco seasoning you will ever use:

  • 1 tsp chili powder

  • 1/2 tsp of cayenne powder

  • 1/2 TBS cumin

  • 1 TBS garlic powder

  • 1 TBS dried oregano

  • 1 TBS onion powder

  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

  • Optional 1/2 tsp of sea salt

Mix everything together and store in an airtight jar.

Brown your beef with 4 to 5 TBS of Tomato sauce and 4 tsp of taco herb mix per pound of meat. When it is done, drain your meat. When we make our tacos, we love a lot of topping options. Some options are:

  • Jalapenos

  • Guacamole

  • Salsa

  • Hot sauce

  • Olives

  • Lettuce

  • Raw cheddar cheese

  • Plain greek yogurt
